Job Overview

The Graduate Engineer supports the successful delivery of engineering projects within the clean energy and industrial gases sector. Working under the guidance of experienced project engineers and managers, this role contributes to the coordination, technical execution, and continuous improvement of projects from design through to commissioning

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination
    • Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities to ensure timely delivery
    • Support communication between engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and site teams
    • Help maintain project documentation, reports, and registers
  • Technical Support
    • Contribute to design reviews, calculations, and technical documentation
    • Assist in preparing drawings, specifications, and engineering deliverables
    • Review vendor data and ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Procurement & Vendor Liaison
    • Support procurement processes including RFQs, bid evaluations, and technical clarifications
    • Liaise with suppliers to track progress and resolve technical queries
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure work aligns with company standards, client specifications, and relevant codes
    • Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, and safety reviews
  • Project Delivery Support
    • Assist with factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and commissioning activities
    • Monitor progress against milestones and report on risks or delays
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation, and efficiency
    • Contribute to lessons learned and knowledge sharing across projects

 

 

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • High attention to detail and organisation
  • Eagerness to learn and develop in a project engineering environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Work Environment

 

The employee must be able to sit, stand, or work at the computer for prolonged periods. The position supports operations in the manufacturing facility, which requires being on the shop floor for extended periods of time. Safety equipment must be utilized as specified to enter production areas. May be subject to hot and cold environments, loud noise, and typical manufacturing exposures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and reach with hands and arms.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to sit, stand, or work at the computer for prolonged periods. PPE must be utilized as specified to enter production areas.
